What We Do
The LGRA operates as an organized corporation under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and will regularly produce activities to educate the general public on issues relating to animal health and welfare, rodeo participation and competition, sportsmanship, communication and fellowship. The LGRA provides regular educational sessions that teach the community about all aspects of GLBT rodeo competition, animal welfare, and sportsmanship. These activities will be conducted throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The LGRA will also produce an annual IGRA sanctioned rodeo, to be held in a designated City in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. These educational and community activities will constitute more then 90% of the organizations total time, and are funded through board based public donations, sponsorships, and membership dues. As Such, LGRA views itself as a public charity.
Community Commitment
The preparation and physical training of each rodeo helps to heighten our awareness of Gay Rodeo’s responsibilities to the Community, LGRA has committed itself to the raising of funds which will be distributed back into the community for charitable use. We have a community commitment to distribute thousands of dollars to charitable organizations who care for and seek cures for those with HIV, cancer and other life threatening illnesses, as well as other emerging health and social welfare needs in our local communities.
